Last night, I knew we were going to get some significant snowfall. When the snowflakes appear small and fall at a steady pace, watch out!

When you drive into Downtown Wenatchee, you’ll notice the famous Wenatchee Avenue Berm is back.

Don’t attempt to drive through the BERM. Every year, people try and get high centered.

Then someone takes a pic.

The image of your car uploads to social media and everyone, including your ex, react with a laughing emoji.

Don’t do it.

Appreciate anyone who drives a snow plow.  You're keeping our highways, local roads and parking lots clear and drivable.

The National Weather Service gives us some advice during Winter conditions

- They point out that:

"Each year, there are 1,000 deaths and over 100,000 injuries that occur during Winter driving conditions

  • Clean off your vehicle before driving - flying ice and snow from your car/truck causes accidents
  • Keep it slow and don’t use cruise control. If the roads look wet, they could be slick (black ice)
  • Leave extra space between you and the vehicle in front of you - especially snow plows"

Take your time today. If someone behind you is in a hurry, let them go around.
