Updated Snow Totals
We woke up to the sounds of snow blowers and snow shovels scraping the sidewalks.
I hustled out for a snow shovel session before my Saturday morning breakfast of eggs on toast. As I write this, my daughter is on a bus from Seattle to Wenatchee (via Stevens Pass)
Due to the conditions in Tumwater Canyon, her driver will have to detour through snowy Plain Highway to get to Leavenworth and to the Wenatchee Valley. KPQ has reported that: Tumwater Canyon remains closed today. WSDOT will check on its status tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
The World Famous Wenatchee Avenue Berm is back
Plan your route to downtown destinations, knowing that The Berm (big wall of snow) is back and hard to punch through. Be advised that you can get high centered if you try and bust through.
UPDATED SNOW TOTALS:
Chelan & Douglas County residents have seen 7 to 12 inches of snow.
NCW Libraries have announced
The Pateros, Bridgeport, Omak, Okanogan and Grand Coulee libraries are closed Saturday due to snow.

“City plows are out clearing Avenues and Emergency Routes only today (Saturday Dec 10th) Residential streets will begin to get cleared on Monday (Dec 12th) around 10 am. Please move your cars so the crews can plow to the curb without plowing you in”
