[WATCH OUT] These 3 New AppleSox Stars Are Changing the Game!
A Strategic Mix of Youth and Division I Experience
Joseph Moreno
The freshman (from South Hills High School in West Covina, CA) made his collegiate debut with the Gaels on Feb. 13, throwing two scoreless innings against Creighton University. Moreno will be getting his first taste of summer baseball. As one of eight lefty pitchers, Moreno helps balance out this Sox bullpen.
Vincent De Marco
The high school senior is currently at Woodbridge High School (Irvine, CA) and has committed to Saint Mary’s for the 2027 season. Last spring, his junior year of high school, De Marco posted a 0.21 ERA over 13 appearances and 111 strikeouts, averaging just shy of 9 strikeouts per game. My oh my.
Micah Nicholson
He's made the most of his role, mostly as a pinch-hitter his freshman year. In 30 at-bats, he posted a .333 average and a .433 slugging percentage. He's a great contact hitter, who will be needed this summer in Wenatchee.
The AppleSox Tradition and Community
What are the Wenatchee AppleSox, and what kind of league do they play in?
The Wenatchee AppleSox are a top collegiate summer baseball team that brings talented college players to the Wenatchee Valley. These athletes use wood bats and play in the West Coast League (WCL), a leading developmental league with teams from Washington, Oregon, and Canada. The WCL is similar to professional minor-league baseball. The AppleSox have won five West Coast League championships, which is the second-most in league history.
