We are still waiting for an official word on future tenants for the roughly 10 acre site on North Wenatchee Avenue under development as a commercial site for shopping and dining establishments.

It was believed the city of Wenatchee would announce a major anchor tenant for the former WSDOT property earlier this year now that the McKittrick Street and Columbia Ave improvements projects that border the site have begun.

However, in late 2023 it is still not known what major retailer will anchor the property, although it is still believed a grocer will eventually emerge from the negotiations with the city.

On a recent visit to KPQ's "Agenda" program, Wenatchee Mayor Frank Kuntz has mentioned a certain restaurant chain not currently in the area is interested in locating on a key parcel of the ten acre site but Kuntz suggested the Wenatchee Avenue fronting spot may not be the best choice for that location on the site.  .

So we are still wondering; "What Restaurants Do You Want in Wenatchee?"

Here are the frontrunners the last time we posed the question on The Agenda
