Earlier this month The Amazing Race season finale concluded with a visit to Seattle.

Three teams remained - gunning for bragging rights and big prize money. Each team with their two members, completed challenges with a local Northwest flavor.  The 3 Teams flew into Sea-Tac airport and immediately were shuttled over to the iconic Seattle Space Needle, then took the elevator down to the world-famous Chihuly Garden and Glass Glasshouse

The Seattle challenges began with a three-part scramble:

  • Blowing a glass float at Seattle Glassblowing
  • Pulling off a trapeze move at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts, and
  • Taking on roadie duties for Seattle bands, Smokey Brights and the Black Tones at Showbox.

Once completed, the teams put together a puzzle at Kenmore Air on the Northshore of Lake Washington. The Amazing Race’s dramatic final challenge of the season ended at Clise Mansion in Redmond.

The 35th season of The Amazing Race began in Los Angeles. The show went to visit India and Ireland before concluding here in the Pacific Northwest.

What if the Amazing Race concluded here in North Central Washington?

We’re contacting Eric Kim - who oversees primetime on the CBS Television Network. And proposing a visit to the Wenatchee area.

Here’s what the teams on the Amazing Race would do - here in NCW.

Kayaking on the Columbia River

Imagine contesting rowing down the Columbia, each 2-person team would carry their kayak, from the Walla Walla Point Park “Big Toy” through the goose poop - onto the Columbia - rowing frantically to Hydro Park in East Wenatchee.

Visit the Town Toyota Center

Contestants would put on soda can outfits and run on the ice - for the “Pepsi Time in the 509 Challenge,” between periods at a Wenatchee Wild Hockey game.

Be the first innertube down the Thunder Rapids

Contestants would visit Slidewaters in Lake Chelan - and jump on an innertube. The first member to successfully get their tube to splash into the bottom pool wins!

Wow the Judges at Rails and Ales

Contestants would jump on a pair of skis or a snowboard and zoom down the Orondo Avenue ramp of snow onto the rails. Whoever has the most flair and style points wins!

Find a clue in Ohme Gardens

Those crazy “scramble to grab to find clue challenges” can get epic on The Amazing Race. Hiding a clue container in the Enchantment Waterfalls would be an epic

Serve pitchers of German beer during Oktoberfest

Imagine the teams dressed in German-style durndles and lederhosen - carrying multiple pitchers of beer to waiting customers in the largest Oktoberfest festival, this side of Bavaria.
