Three Chelan Teens Hurt In Rollover Crash
Three Chelan area teens were injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident on Friday afternoon one mile east of Chelan.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reports a vehicle traveling south on Highway 97A at Wilmorth Drive about 5:30pm went into a ditch and rolled, coming to rest while partially blocking the roadway.
The 17-year-old driver from Chelan and a 17-year-old passenger from Manson were not named because of their minor status, but both were transported to the hospital along with a 19-year-old male passenger from Chelan, Itzel Velez-Vazquez.
All three were wearing seatbelts, and the WSP says drugs or alcohol was involved, and the driver faces potential charges pending the crash investigation.
