Essentials you NEED for The Gorge Amphitheater in George WA
Maybe you are a seasoned vet when heading out to the Gorge Amphitheatre in George WA. Still take a look at the list below, would you add anything to it? Maybe you have never been to the Gorge Amphitheatre. That's ok! We are here to help ensure an amazing time!
Items Needed for The Gorge Amphitheatre:
1. A Clear bag.
*Bag policy: they will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutch bags (6”x 9”). source.
The Bag policy at the Gorge, is rather strict, but for safety reasons!
2. Sunscreen
You won't find a whole lot of shade, so make sure to protect your skin from the blazing sun!
Please also maybe bring some "after sun" lotion.
3. Water Bottle
And I mean an actual Water Bottle, not one that's hiding an adult beverage. There are hydration stations scattered throughout the venue, so when you run out of water, go fill it back up!
If you can, get a carabiner for the bottle to hook to your clear bag! Bam! Hands free!
4. Hydration Packets
You need to replenish those electrolytes and keep hydrated for a great time!
You do not necessarily have to use the brand posted above, just something like it to ensure you are getting all the nutrients your body needs for an awesome time.
5. Cooling Rags
Perfect for keeping your shoulders cooled off.
Unlike the picture above. The towel will be ideally, wet and maybe a little smaller. You just need it big enough to plop onto both shoulders comfortably, and something you don't mind getting wet, over and over again.
6. Good / Broken in Shoes
The Gorge Amphitheater is not the place to break in your newest shoes, the gorge is also not for heels. I promise you, a good pair of Berkenstock sandals, tennis shoes you've had that form to your feet already so well, maybe even a durable pair of flip flops.
Don't wear the brand-new cowboy boots either. You really don't want to get blisters!
7. Sunglasses
Again, hardly any shade, protect those eyeballs
Make sure they have UVA and UVB protection.
8. A Sweater
Because yes, I am a mother, and I don't want you to get cold. That and I know how it can go from being super-hot during the day to needed something to warm up.
Maybe grab something that can be easily rolled up for your bag!
9. A Lawn Chair
Bringing a lawn chair may seem like a hassle, but with the lawn space for seating, and the compact chair you can find these days, your tushy will thank you.
You can find some pretty cool chairs that come with straps so you may carry it like a backpack! Convenient!
10. Good Vibes!
Your vibe enters the room before you do, remember that in all walks of life, but at the Gorge. You do not want to be stuck in the heat with a bad mood. Take in the views, smell the air and cool off when and where you can. From camping for a whole weekend or just simply going for the day/evening. HAVE A BLAST at one of Washington States, Local Gems.
